The Oyo State Rule of Law Enforcement Authority is committed to upholding justice, maintaining public order, and ensuring compliance with state laws. As a regulatory body, our mandate is to enforce legal provisions, promote civic responsibility, and safeguard the values that define Oyo State.

OBJECTIVES OF THE AUTHORITY
- To oversee the enforcement of Oyo State laws and regulations made pursuant thereto, relating to healthy and environmental standards, maintenance of road traffic safety, and anti-open grazing regulations in Oyo State;
- To foster and facilitate a working relationship with other Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of Government with a view to providing and ensuring the effective exchange of information to achieve traffic safety and environmental sustainability within the State;
- To facilitate the equipment and furnishing of Environmental Tribunal and Mobile Courts;
- To devise strategies to aid enforcement of and compliance with environmental standards and traffic laws in the State;
- To collect data on and maintain such number of databases on infractions of traffic, environmental, and anti-open grazing laws;
- To establish a feedback mechanism, with members of the Public, on the implementation and enforcement of Traffic and Environmental Laws and Standards;
- Conduct seminars and workshops for stakeholders in the traffic and environmental sector on the effectiveness and review of traffic and environmental laws and standards;
- To monitor the performance of any contractor and consultant engaged by the Government for waste disposal, and make a report on their performances;
- To conduct research into Traffic and Environmental challenges and make recommendations for policy improvement;
- To promote Traffic Standards and Environmental protection in collaboration with relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, Local Authority, and Non-Governmental Organizations;
- To oversee, monitor, and evaluate the activities and performances of Environmental Protection Tribunal and Mobile Courts set up under any Law of the State;
- To ensure that matters before Mobile Courts and Tribunals are handled diligently and appropriate sanctions are issued as may be necessary and permitted under the relevant Laws;
- To make recommendations to the government on the engagement and termination of any consultant or contractor on matters relating to the Environmental and Road Traffic Laws;
- To advise the Government on the use of cutting-edge technology to resolve traffic and Environmental challenges in the State;
- To identify and recommend to Government areas or locations within the State suitable for the implementation of Government beautification policy;
- To issue regulations on the implementation of any of its functions and powers.
